Casa Bella is a distinctive Venetian villa on the waterfront of San Pietro di Castello, overlooking the Canale San Pietro. The house sits beside the historic church of San Pietro di Castello, with its Palladian architecture and bell tower, and offers a rare opportunity to experience Venice from a private and residential setting.

The former island of Olivolo, now known as San Pietro di Castello, is one of the historic areas of Venice. The church became the cathedral of Venice in 1451 and remained the seat of the city’s patriarch until 1807, when the religious centre moved to San Marco. Today, San Pietro di Castello retains a quieter, local character while being close to the Biennale, Arsenale and the centre of Venice.

The main building, its features and facilities

On the north side the verdant campo San Pietro with its church and bell tower and on its south side, the small garden with fully equipped open air and covered living spaces.
❖ Sleeps up to 17 in 6 formal bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom, and a spacious loft with a further bathroom.
❖ Each bathroom has a walk in shower.
❖ Main kitchen for large parties, cooking lesson and normal cooking for the guests.
❖ First floor kitchen mainly for breakfast but also supporting the main kitchen when guests will eat in the dining room or terrace.

The gallery

The approximately 2,000 sq. ft. art gallery and conference/multimedia hall can be rented together with Casa Bella or separately. With its own garden and kitchenette, the space can be used for private events, yoga classes, screenings, artistic performances and conferences. It is fully accessible and equipped with air conditioning and heating, making it suitable for both individual events and longer stays.

San Pietro di Castello offers a quieter side of Venice while remaining within easy reach of the city’s cultural highlights. The island sits between the Giardini della Biennale and Arsenale and is surrounded by a lively residential neighbourhood with supermarkets, greengrocers, fishmongers, butchers, delicatessens and bakeries.

Casa Bella is particularly suited to guests who want to experience Venice beyond its busiest tourist areas. The property’s two private docks provide direct access to the waterways of Venice and the lagoon, with private boats and water taxis available for exploring the city, surrounding islands and waterways.

Three nearby vaporetto stops provide convenient public transport connections across Venice, while St. Mark’s Square is approximately a 20-minute walk away.
