Casa Val d’Orcia – Gothic Villa is a distinctive contemporary residence in the Val d’Orcia, combining Gothic-inspired architecture with refined modern interiors. Founded in 2001 and built across three levels, the property has been completely restored with a focus on craftsmanship, quality materials and considered design.

The villa offers 700 square metres of living space across almost 60 acres of private land. The interiors bring together marble, alabaster, resin floors and fine wooden finishes, while the surrounding grounds are planted with mature cedars, elms, Mediterranean pines, cypresses, bay laurel, lemon and pomegranate trees, as well as an extensive olive orchard.

The owner’s design portfolio includes the refurbishment of Hotel Hassler in Rome and Il Palazzetto, the International Wine Academy of Rome, at the top of the Spanish Steps. This design experience is reflected in the villa’s carefully considered interiors, which combine a contemporary aesthetic with the warmth of a private family residence.

THE EXPERIENCE AND HOME DESIGN

The architecture and interiors take inspiration from the property’s surroundings while introducing a distinctly contemporary character. Marble, alabaster, resin floors and wooden finishes create a refined setting, balanced by the natural landscape surrounding the house.

The extensive grounds include mature Mediterranean trees and an olive orchard from which the owner produces olive oil. The combination of private outdoor space, contemporary design and a heated swimming pool makes Casa Val d’Orcia suitable throughout the year.

The main villa accommodates either 8 or 12 guests, while the addition of one annex brings the total capacity to 16 guests.
