Villa Lucca – Farmhouse is a historic 12th-century farmhouse set among the hills of Lucca, with panoramic views across the surrounding valley towards the Pisan hills and, on clear days, the sea. The property is located approximately 12 km from Lucca and features an on-site restaurant serving local dishes and handmade cheeses, including award-winning regional specialties.

The farmhouse was once owned by English film director David Lean, who was drawn to the landscape surrounding Lucca. Today, the property has been carefully renovated to accommodate up to 10 guests and can be rented as one private villa or as two independent units, offering flexibility and privacy.

The main house accommodates up to eight guests across four bright bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a spacious kitchen and living room. The oldest part of the farmhouse retains its 12th-century character and accommodates two guests in a romantic bedroom with fireplace, seating area, kitchenette and bathroom with shower and bathtub.

After a day of mountain biking or walking the surrounding trails, guests can relax in the sauna and enjoy herbal teas and scents made from the property’s organic herbs. The seasonal swimming pool provides another place to unwind during the warmer months.

The owners have extensive mountain biking experience and can suggest routes suited to different levels, from gentle rides through the hills and past the historic villas of Lucca to more challenging single-track trails. Walking routes and excursions to the medieval villages surrounding the property can also be arranged.
